Hong Kong Science & Technology Parks Corporation is delighted to co-host the upcoming Exchange @ Science Park with GS1 Hong Kong aiming to bring audience an overview of the latest RFID technology, its applications in different industries, and its business opportunity in Internet of Things (IOT).
Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) is one of the hottest emerging technologies today. The application may affect an extremely wide spectrum of the population ranging from the technology adopters, to vendors, to integrators and to users. By applying RFID technology in different aspects, an enterprise not only can enhance its operation efficiency and accuracy, but also can build up its competitive advantages.
The Internet of Things (IOT) is a network of internet-enabled objects, together with web services that interact with these objects. Underlying the IOT are technologies such as RFID, sensors, short range communication and smart phones. IOT has been included in the strategic infrastructure plan of People of Republic China.
In this seminar, GS1 will share with us the standards and fundamental infrastructure required for Internet of Things, and enhances the awareness and understanding of the engineering professionals about the RFID technology, its applications, benefits and significances to the future development of Hong Kong. Moreover, we are very glad to have different honorable guests from the industry to share the latest development of Internet of Things and different innovative applications of RFID in the marketplace.

About Exchange @ Science Park
Exchange @ Science Park is an informal networking event organized by Hong Kong Science and Technology Parks Corporation.
